Winter's here, too much time on hands. Has anyone tried to rig up a bowsprit on a C22? Would this enable better windward performance by moving the center of effort of the headsail forward? |

Hello Richard,
I have had ideas of attaching a sprit to my boat also. The C 27 and C 30 tall rig boats have bowsprits that are basically just cobbled together. Something similar should work on a C 22. I would like to use mine to support an anchor as well as provide attachment for an asymmetric sail.
Good luck with your project. Mine is on the shelf as we are still in recovery mode from Gustav.
