What brand stove is it? Is it pressurized (pumped up) or non-pressurized? |

Matt,
If it's an older pressurized variety, you have to use some caution or you'll lose your curtains (or worse!). I did a quick google on 'marine pressurized alcohol stove" and found this:

Happy reading!
If it's not pressurized, Origo has some info online or you could search on your mfr. if you know it.

Alcohol will vaporize and is lighter than air so can fill the cabin with volitile fuel. Light a match and the cabin goes "pooof". Take care to keep the area well vented. |

Matthew, I hope the below links are helpful. They're for my old Kenyon Marine model 126 pressurized alcohol stove. I've since moved on to a non-pressurized Origo 3000 -- that requisite flare-up upon lighting the Kenyon was intimidating! I recently gave away the Kenyon to someone on my C22 discussion group for parts.
