Hi, I have just received a 2-spring motor mount from C.D. for a Honda 7.5HP 4-Stroke. I ordered the stainless steel backing plates (right-angle brackets) for it, as well, along with some sealant. Does anyone have any "experienced" suggestions for mounting it? Thanks! |

Short shaft or long on the Honda Motor may determine the installation depth. Remember when the motor is running and you go forward to the bow, the stern will rise taking the motor with it. You can raise the motor using the mount, but you can't go deeper with the motor if you intall the mount too high. Found this out in the school of hard knocks. Luckily we were able to trim enough off the top of the mount board to lower the motor and still be able to engage the motor swivel and the lift and lock of the mount. Love the two spring vs. the old style! Good Luck. |
