Does anybody know of a shop that can replace the weldments in the DC/Annapolis area?

What happened? I replaced mine but not with the whimpy ones from catalina.
I was never happy with 5/16 bolts holding on the keel. I replaced with 1/2" bolts that come through the hull inside.

Did you use larger weldments in the fiberglass or just through bolt it into the boat with nuts/washers?

I bought the boat from a Marine School in Baltimore as "needing" a swing keel. When I got it out of the water, I found that it needed a swing keel because the donor had not maintained the bolts, two rusted away and the other two were ripped out of the bottom when the keel came off. I read one post about bolting through the bottom and think that may be the answer.

The boat is too nice to send to landfill.
