I have a Universal MX-25 Diesel and I can't keep the belt tight. The adjustment bracket bottoms out and I'm continually finding belt shavings ( powder) in the engine compartment. Is there a retro fit or solution that I'm not aware of. Thanks, Dave. |

Hi Dave,
Your belt is probably stretched or you have the wrong belt. It the belt is loose then it will slip accounting for the shavings you find in your engine compartment. Over time, belts will wear and stretch. When you install a new belt, you should be able to push in about 1/2 inch on the longest run between the pulleys.
Good luck, have a Blessed Christmas and a safe new year.
