Hi everyone.
I was wondering if anyone has some knowledge of costal waters off Rhode Island cost. I'm planning a trip to Block Island from Groton, Ct. Overnighter, maybe 2 nights with a couple of my friends. My previous experience is limited to central Long Island Sound region when I moored my previous boat (Capri 18) in Essex, Ct for one season.
It looks like the best route will be @90 degrees between the shore and Fishers Island to Watch Hill bell and then to Block Island, 130 degrees.
I'm concerned about tides and unfavorable winds on our way back. Also, we'll have to go through some narrow passages to leave Fishers Island Bay. I'll appreciate any comments. Thanks.

PS. Rhode Island is not an island :)

Hi.

You may want to touch base with the Ocean State Catalina Association, www.oscafleet.org, for information.
