Water is leaking out of one of the old curtain holes in my 1987 Catalina 22 across from the sink. The water was coming in from an eyebrow screw. This I have corrected. Not looking forward to drilling more holes in the cabin shell so I'd like to hear from experience. Thanks in advance once again. |

Since the curtain rod hole is not a through and through hole the source of the water must be somewhere else. I would inspect/rebed the cabin top hardware, handrail, slide bracket, and probably even the mast step

I had the same problem Bob Thompson told me how to get rid of the water behind the first layer of the shell. Make large open areas in the inner shell and pour acetone at both ends ( about 1 gallon) the acetone will lift & displace the water. |
