I have a new to me "82 that has the track clips but no curtain tracks. How would one go about purchasing or fabricating the tracks? I am paritcularly interested in the v-berth / head track.
Thanks,

It doesn't look like they make the track any more. You would have to fine someone willing to part with theirs. I have window curtain tracks I am willing to give up, along with the clips. But, I am using my privacy curtain tracks.
I would suggest using a small curtain rod with connects at each side like you would use on the inside of a window frame. That way you could buy a curtain for it at WalMart and save a bundle.

Go to an RV supply store and get what they call Airstream curtain track and the clips to go with it.
I use double sided automotive trim tape, 10 lb. capacity, to glue the track in place. I have also put #4 screw at either side of each piece of track to keep the clips from sliding off the ends.
Three short pieces of velcro sewn to the edges of the curtain enable me to keep the curtain clsed when the Porta-Potti or V-Berth is in use |

John, I just took the track out of my '76. :) It's in fine shape, as far as I can tell, since I've never have any curtains or used it for anything other than drying some wet gloves. I'll take anything you want to pay for it that is not embarressing to either of us. |

Catalina Yachts switched from aluminum to plastic. The plastic can be found at major RV outlets or catalogs. |

We need the tracks too -- the "trough" that gets attached to the ceiling and then the pieces attached to the curtains feed into the trough, where they slide back and forth. This is for the privacy curtain between the main cabin and the v-berth / porta potty area. Not too cool when that curtain falls down at the wrong time!
We tried RV sites and came up with the sliders, but not the trough itself. ?? |

I took the old curtains out of my 86 cruiser boat and put in those vinyl accordian blinds. The blinds cost less than $10 each( I paid $6 at Home Depot. They stick up with velcro and are easy to wash. Cut to size with sissors. |
