can anyone tell me the proper ay to attach the tack of the cruising spinnaker at the bow.

Greg,
There should be a hank just above the tack of the tail. That gets attached to the forestay. A line tied to the tack, run through a block on the stem fitting and run back to the cockpit to a cleat will allow you to adjust the height of the tack. Much like raising or lowering the tip of the pole on a symetrical spinnaker. A picture of the block on my stem fitting is here:

david, thanks for the info but i have the cdi furler so the 1 time i used it i just hooked a line about 2 feet long on the sail and attached it to the bow under the furler drum. it just didnt seem like that was correct. any other options. thanks

Greg,
ATN makes a product to attach the tack of a cruising chute to a furled headsail. Their web site is http://www.atninc.com/tacker.html
You may not want to spend the money on theirs, but you can likely fashion something out of webbing (old trailer winch strap might work) or another strong material. If you find a good solution, please post it here and at
