i have recently noticed that the fiberglass on my threshhold is cracking. the crack is in the center where the keel bolt is. i keep the boat in shallow water so the keel has to be kept partially inthe up position. any one else with this problem and how to fix it. i also noticed the wood between the fiberglass there is dry rotted. any help appreciated

Because the wood is gone, there is no support. You need to stiffen the area with new wood. Use a good epoxy on the new wood to stop water from damaging it (marine ply).

Make the wood the width of the area to spread out the load. Use several through bolts on each end and then rebolt the winch.

Good luck,

Bill
