I'm looking for a latch for the forward hatch. Since the space is so tight forward that I don't want the traditional screw with wing nut. Is there a latch out there that you can bump your head on and not dig out several layers of hair and skin?

My 86 and 87 didn't have a wing nut. It was a white plastic knob. I'm pretty sure CD can get them. Seems to me they come from the company "Bomar" and I used to have a few spares for my Irwin 37 and C22's. It won't guarantee you won't hit your head! But it cuts down the chance of bleeding to just bruising.
