The lip of the mast step broke the last time we laid down the mast. Does anyone know where I can get a Mast Step specific to a 1976 Catalina 22? If not, is there a current part that will work in its place?

I bought mine for my '76 C22 here from Catalina Direct.
Mast Step with Welded Vang Loop Product #: D1123
It's much beefier than the original aluminum step. It's pretty easy to install, bed it really good with 4200 and you'll be fine.

I called to order the mast plate with the welded loop and was told that the welded loops break off, but they have one where the vang attachment is part of the plate - much stronger. When you replace it, you might as well add the additional plate for turning all the lines to the cockpit as well. At least then you won't be doing this twice. |
