New C22 owner here. My boat came with a jib furler, which I thought was great at the time, but now I'm wondering . . . I plan to keep it on the trailer with the mast lowered. Given that, I obviously shouldn't keep the jib on the furler? I'm just wondering if I should remove it and go with the standard rigging until I decide moore the boat?

I purchased a new forestay so I could switch between the CDI furler
and the standard hanked sail. I use the furler for the Northern Gulf
Coast Cruise (7 days in May) and racing on Lake Lanier Ga. It is much
easier to raise the mast without the furler weight. I also like the hanked
sail because it is easier to remove it to store it in the boat. Something
I have not tried yet is to have a 3rd line from the clue to pull the sail between
the mast and shrouds while using a downhaul on the luff.
