Long D shackle for use anywhere where a shackle with extra reach is needed. The photo above provides a relative size comparison to help you choose. This specific shackle is used to attach hardware onto a boom (see "Specific Uses" below) that has a tab extruded along the bottom. Simply drill a hole through the extruded tab using the groove extruded along the length of the tab as a drill guide. Shackle the pin through the hole for use to secure a mainsheet block or boom vang block.

Specific Uses:
• Capri 22 boom: Mainsheet, boom vang
• Catalina 250 boom: Mainsheet, boom vang
• Catalina 27 (late models ~ Sept '87 and later) boom: Mainsheet, boom vang
