1) If retrofitting an early '70's boat that once had the aluminum mast step with a fixed pin in the mast, in addition to the mast step you must order the Mast Step Replacement Bolt and Mast Step Bolt Wing Nut found below under "May we also suggest". Order two of each so you have spares.

2) This mast step mounts on the deck with the angled end forward.

3) In 2010 Catalina started supplying their boats with Seldén masts and standing rigging. Current production Capri 18 (hulls 743 and up), Catalina 22 Sport (hulls 15759 and up), and Capri 22 (hulls 1274 and up) are now equipped with Seldén rigs. These boats require different mast fittings. If your boat has a Seldén rig, its mast step is listed below under "May we also suggest".
