Marine Tex is excellent for repairing holes where old hardware was mounted to the deck. Much stronger than gel coat, it is a thick paste that when mixed with the included catalyst cures to a very hard strong plug which adheres well to the surrounding fiberglass.
It is not bright white in color, so it is best used where it will be hidden under a new piece of hardware. If a cosmetic repair is desired where no hardware is being replaced, it is best to leave a "divot" in the top of the Marine Tex.
