This replacement plastic trim covers the ragged edge of the deck at the hull/deck joint. It is used on several Catalina models including the Catalina 22, Catalina 25 and the Capri 22. This is the last of the product available from the original equipment production. They were produced in the mid 90's and there is a bit of yellowing near the top edge of most of them. If you want the original part, buy one of these while the supply lasts. If you want an improved product fresh off the press, order our new UV resistant part below.
Early Catalina 22's used the full part just as delivered to you. Later 22's and the Catalina 25 and Capri 22 used the same part shortened at the top to achieve a proper fit. The top of the "U" may be trimmed with scissors or a knife to the proper height.
Although there are two different models of this part (the original and the new UV resistant part) there is only one shape. If you need a new transom trim, this is the only shape available. Both the original and new UV resistant parts are the exact same shape.
Important note: If you have a Capri 22, this part will work if your hull number is 860 or less. Boats with hull number 861 and above have a straight transom, and this part is not necessary.
