Finally! A replacement drain assembly for the original equipment oval stainless steel sink in the head. The small oval sinks have a smaller hole and a smaller recess in the bottom of the sink than a standard galley sink. Standard sink drain fittings will not fit.
When Catalina installed these sinks in your boat, two modifications were required to make the drain fit:
This part is specially machined so the flange has a smaller outside diameter for the oval sink. This assembly can also be used in conjunction with the replacement oval sink (see part #Z2347 below) but the sink must be modified by enlarging the hole with a Dremmel tool or similar (as Catalina did originally) to accept the drain. The drain hole in the sink is about 1/16" to small for the drain assembly to pass though.
This assembly uses Forespar's straight hose nipple to connect the bottom of the stainless steel drain to a 3/4" hose. Includes strainer plug. Thread which passes through the hole in the sink is 1-13/16" OD and flange is 2-1/4" OD.
