I just purchased what I was told was a 1982 Catalina C-22, swing keel. Upon further investigation I can not locate a Hull ID number on the transom, (trust me, its not there). This means the boat is older than a 1972. There is a single metal plate inside the cockpit, serial number 10824. The sail numbers are also 10824, if this is correct the boat is a 1982. Anhy help would be appreciated.

Our boat is a 1984 with sail and hull number 11823 so the number sounds about right. Our number is on the aft-starboard corner of the hull though. |

Thanks to those that replied. I was finnally able to find the very faint Hull number, it is an 82.
Just goes to show you that denying the need for glasses is not the best answer. |
