When we're lounging around in the cockpit, the tiller is usually in the way. Due to the traveller the tiller can't be raised to a vertical position. I'm considering a hinge of some kind a few inches forward of the traveller. I've seen other, non-catalina, boats with nice stainless sliding mechanisms that perform the same function. But I haven't found that hardware anywhere.
Has anyone tackled this issue?
