Hi,

I have bought a used 1986 catalina 22 swing Keel. The keel eye bolt is off by 90 degrees (the clevis pin is lined up fore and aft instead of perpendicular to the keel). This means the clevis cannot rotate and it will tend to bend the eye bolt.

Is this a serious problem. Do I need to turn the eye bolt? Do I have to take the bolt all the way and put lock tight on it again.
