My boat has a wooden plywood divider separating the starboard bunk and the outside lazurite. It is not sealed and water from the lazurite comes into the bunk. Any reason not to seal it. Thanks

Bigger question might be why are you getting water from the lazarette in cockpit? Bad hatch, stanchion base leaks, or what.
