Hi,

I'm in the process of rehabilitating a 72 c22 that had been sitting for about 8 years. One of the results of this long hiatus has been the damage, and in some cases destruction, of all the teak on the exterior of the boat. Some sections, I will be replacing with the plastic that CD offers, but others I want to restore. Because of the difficult maintenance schedule of teak, I'm thinking about varnishing the teak instead of using teak oil. I'd like to get as many opinions on the subject as possible, and know any pitfalls I should avoid. Thanks in advance,

Michael

I don't know what the best teak treatment is, but I do know that whatever you use will last a LOT longer if you keep the wood covered when not sailing.
