This for those who like to continue their cruising during the winter season. Have you ever considered making several cruises in Florida during the winter season but not wanted to haul your boat back and forth. We live about midway up Florida's East coast (five minutes off of I-95 at exit 156). We would be willing to store boats on our property free of charge anytime during the year except during the heigth of hurricane season (September). We live in a rural setting on ten acres. Our property has a locked gate and so far the area has hardly any crime (we don't even lock our doors). We are about thirty miles south of Melbourne and west of Sebastian in a tiny town called Fellsmere. We are about four and a half hours north of the Florida Keys. We also have extra room at our house in case someone needed to stay overnight. We just need to know in advance. If we are not working we would also be willing to try to assist others who have problems while on the road while traveling the east coast of Florida (772-571-1593). We do not want any compensation for allowing people to store their boat or rig on our property. We just would like to assist other trailer/sailors acheive their dreams as we have been assisted in the past. We can also provide information about sailing some areas in Florida (especially the Keys). |

Philip & Sharon, you folks think up the nicest discussion threads!
For people using
-The Mohawk River/Barge Canal system in central NY (the "Erie Canal") from Oswego to Albany,
-The eastern shore of Lake Ontario from Oswego to Cape Vincent
-The upper St. Lawrence River from Cape Vincent to Alexandria Bay
We would be happy to give information or assistance if you have trouble along any of these routes. We keep our boat in a marina, so if you need an emergency haulout, you can use our trailer.

Phil, Sharon & Chip, great thread!!!
We keep our boat in a marina (Point Bay, Chatlotte, VT) on Lake Champlain. If anyone wants to sail here please contact us. Likewise, out trailer is available for any c22 swing keel needing assistance.
Chip, we have thought about the Erie Canal. Have you gone on it with your c22?
We are also planning to trailer to Lake George and possibly to your area. We'll keep in touch.

Am willing ot assist anyone who wants to sail in central Indiana. Of course, given the abscence of any really decent places to sail in Central Indiana, there is a good chance that anyone who wants to sail here really does need help. |
