I have a depth/knot meter which I am planning to leave on my boat over the winter in Ontario Canada. Will the screen become damaged by the extremely low temps we get up here?
I expect about 0 to minus 10 Fahrenheit (-30 to -40 Celsius)

The LCD screen on my depth sounder seems unaffected by low temperatures (Rochester, NY lows of 0 F). I think many cars have LCD mileage screens or command centers now, and have to survive the cold.

I would make sure it was covered (ie no impact on the screen when cold), but would leave it installed.
