I hope to be raising the mast tomorrow after replacing a broken upper
shroud. My question is regarding where the upper shrouds pass through the
outer slot in the spreader brackets. There are holes at these ends for a
cotter pin or SS wire to hold the shroud from popping out of the spreader
bracket. Should the shroud be able to move freely in this slot or should the
SS wire be wrapped tightly around the shroud to restrict any movement?
Thanks
