Can’t remember the precise length on mine, but when you set up your vang, have the fiddle block with the cam cleat on the boom. Assuming you have a four to one purchase, this will increase the purchase to five to one as the vang line gets an extra turn while going to the cam cleat.
Then have enough line to drop well into the cabin so that it still lies in there when the boom is fully out on a run. In this fashion you’ll always be able to grab the line for adjustment.
I use 1/4 inch Tecnora / Spectra blend with a poyester cover. The Technora eliminates creep while the Spectra provides longevity. I can go down to that diameter with this type of high tech line in the vang.
