What type and where do I mount antenna for AM/FM radio so it doesn't interfere with VHF radio and it's mast-mounted antenna? |

I chose to use a single wire antenna and hid it behind the teak trim inside the cabin. No holes to drill and it works great! I got mine on eBay for about $4.00. Search for item 4650526291.

Look in the boating catalogs. There is a special splitter that uses the VHF antenna for FM. If your ant is at the top of the mast ... it is ideal for FM radio.
Good Luck

The spliter is installed near the radio. The catalog says that the VHF can still be used while hooked up. When I get around to installing a mast mounted antenna, you can be sure I will buy the spliter too. |

I INSTALLED A SPLITTER A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. I HAVE MY ANTENNA MOUNTED ON TOP OF THE MAST, WHICH GIVES ME MORE RANGE AND BETTER RECEPTION ON VHF. THE SPLITTER IS JUST A SMALL BOX THAT CAN FIT ANYWHERE BEFORE THE RADIOS. BOTH RADIOS ARE MOUNTED JUST INSIDE THE CABIN SO I CAN OPERATE BOTH AND STILL HOLD THE TILLER |
