I just replaced my battery, a single purpose 12V, and connected my wires to it, but none of the electrical components seem to work. I don't think its the battery since it brand new. any other suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

You are going to need a volt meter. Voltage on the battery should be about 12.5 or better. A new battery should be fully charged by the person who purchased it before using the battery. A fully charged battery should read around 13.5 volts. Now if the battery is fine, then you obviously have a wiring issue. Unless you have a master switch on the electrical switch panel. It should have a fuse that might need to be replaced.

Butchie,
Thanks for your advice. I appreciate it. It turned out to be a switch in the panel. Happy sailing. |
