I just took delivery of my 1971 Cat 22 and was wondering if there are owners manuals available for the early boats? I am delighted to find this site and have already picked up quite a few tips. Thanking you all in advance for everything I will be learning from you! Shawn |

Welcome to the world of C22's. You can find the '77 owner's manual at:
www.catalina22.org/manuals/mnl77/manl77.htm or just do a Google on "catalina 22"nowner's manual.
There is also a manual for the '87, some of which is still applicable. You can also find all ot the sails brochures with pictures, specifications and options. Just Google "catalina 22" sales brochures and you should be able to find it.
There is a wealth of info on the C22 on the net with many good websites.
Hope you enjoy your C22!
Fair winds,
Jon

I have a 1973 #2431 C22. The owners manual with it is for a 1977 boat but was told it was the same as the 73. It has lots of great diagrams. IMHO you will also need the following: (1) C22 National Membership at $25.00 allows you to purchase the C22 Tech Manual on CD for $25 and view the "secret" member pages on the www.catalina22.org website. The first edition was in 1988 and it was compiled with the edition in 1996. Dale Mack is working on an edition III for 2007. Tech Manuals have hundreds of pages and are only sold to C22 NSA members (2) Catalina Direct ( CD) Parts Catalog. (3)Membership in a C22 Fleet in your area of sailing is where the best cameraderie and information is gleaned and find your own C22 mentor who will help and share the mystery with you.. |
