We have a new 22 on order and a local dealer is selling out his whisker poles. Our 22 will come with a furling 150 Genoa - can anyone tell me how long the foot and what size whisker pole to use.
I understand it should equal the foot of the sail

I believe 12 feet is the allowable size for racing. I found the telescoping whisker pole that came with the boat rather flimsy. I built my own with a 12 ft aluminum tube and heavier spinnaker pole ends. The cheaper plastic ends break too easily. |

I agree with Buff. I have the telescoping pole and it's fine for day sailing, etc. but I found a 1 1/2" dia alum tube with spin pole style, hook ends to be a more stout option and better for racing. |
