I'm thinking about buying a West Marine Headsail Bag for my Catalina 22's 110% genoa so I can leave it hanked on the forestay & ready to sail all the time. The bags come in 2 sizes, medium & large. I was wondering if anyone had bought one for their sailboat, which one they bought, or if there was a better deal elsewhere.
Thanks!

Joe,
We made one a couple of years ago about the same size as the small size green one that is on ebay right now. My 135 fits it very well with lines attached. They claim it will handle sails up to about 125 sq ft. That's believable.
Several commercially produced bags have been sold on ebay in the past few days for between $25 & $40. Not a bad deal. They appear on ebay off & on. I missed one this week at $28 cuz I forgot to check back. Dang it!
Looking at the numbers, West Marine's med & large are for BIG boats & go for $160-190. |

Thanks... $20 to $40 is A LOT easier to swallow than $170 or so! I am looking at Ebay as I type! |
