I am trying to figure out how the deck light holds the bulb in on my C22. It looks like I have all the parts however the fixture has only the chrome lense with a slot in it that the bulb passes through. How does the light bulb stay in? Am I missing parts?

The bulb on my 1987 Aquasignal combo deck light is a G4 20W replacement
Here is the fixture:

This type of bulb is inserted into the two holes in that slot and it shol dstay in place.
You need to wipe it off before you turn it on it because it will get very hot and wear out faster....even if there is some skin grease or dirt on the bulb.
This is my last one that I need to replace with LEDS because it uses too much battery, if you ask me.
