I see alot of people have asked questions about foam and fabric and wanted to offer up our solution. I recently purchased an '83 C22 with some seriously nasty cushions (the plaid kind that loves to hold onto mildew) They had been stored in a musty barn for eight years. I thought I needed to replace the foam, but ended up spraying them down with 3:1 bleach/water (not soaking them), then spraying on a mildew blocker. No smell whatsoever after 24 hrs. I then went onto ebay and got those covers from Softtopper. They are phenomenal - a soft smooth leathery feel and the fit perfectly. My cabin just went from 1970's to 2010 in 5 minutes - highly reccomend them!!! |
