I'm new to the Ventura area and am looking at taking a weekened trip out to the islands with my wife. Does anyone have any advice on getting out there/weather/anchoring harbors? Thanks!

By now you've probably discovered that Brian Fagen's "Channel islands Cruising Guide" is the best source of knowledge for cruising this area. If you can find it, I wrote a story on this for Cruising World Magazine in the June, '93 edition.

Thanks Mark! I've read that book through and it's got a lot of great info. Another question for you: What sail combination do you most commonly use? I've got a 150 and a 110.
