The third generation Catalina 22 built after 1994 (the MkII) uses this cheek block. Mounted to port and starboard on deck, outboard of the mast, it is used to lead halyards aft to the cockpit. If your Catalina 22 MkII was originally purchased with the optional mast raising system, there was an eye strap added to the top of this block for the temporary mast stabilizing wires.
Also used on the Capri 22 MkII for the same purpose when the boat is not equipped with spinnaker gear. For boats equipped with spinnaker gear, consider the double stacked cheek block below under "May we also suggest"

Included fasteners are supplied to keep the parts together during transport. Although they are stainless steel, the required length will vary depending upon your boat and application. After drilling your mounting holes you may need to obtain different length fasteners locally to suit your needs.
