This, as well as the original hose used by Catalina Yachts, is very high quality. It better be since it is the only thing between you and Dave Jones' Locker!

The problem is the hose looks good long after it should have been replaced. One customer reported removing a good hose on his Catalina 22 to check the keel turning ball. When he twisted the hose, it unlaid in his hands! Safer to replace it a bit early than a bit too late.
