Some racers will create a bend in this track while bolting it to the deck. At the aft end of the track it is mounted close to the cabin trunk. The forward half of the track is mounted farther outboard. After rounding the weather mark the car is slid forward for a proper lead angle. As the car is moved forward it also moves outboard, freeing the leech of the genoa. This opens the slot between the main and genoa for better performance off the wind without resorting to the use of

sheets. outboard. You get the best of both inboard and outboard tracks through a very simple and elegant solution.
For the fasteners that will be exposed inside the main cabin, we provide barrel nuts. A traditional installation uses a hex nut plus an acorn nut creating a substantial and dangerous protrusion below. Barrel nuts minimize the danger because the threads are inside the thickness of the deck with only a minimal protrusion below the the inside surface of the overhead. A few extra fasteners included in the kit allow you to mount the track forward or aft a bit to accommodate the
clew height of your sails.
