Do you need left or right hand? Well, if your shroud has roll swaged studs on the bottom end, then chances are good that it is a right hand nut that secures the body to the stud. Both our replacement rigging and Catalina's original equipment rigging on later model boats were made this way. The lower T-bolt and toggle is secured by a left hand threaded nut.

However, early Catalina 22's have copper NICO pressed crimps that secure a thimble on both ends of the shrouds. This arrangement requires a T-bolt and toggle on each end of the turnbuckle, one left and one right. We have no way to know which. The turnbuckle may have been installed with either the left or the right hand end at the top.
