This is our complete engine control upgrade kit including the throttle and shift mechanism plus our removable handle assembly. Avoid snagging your engine control with a stray genoa sheet. Upgrade to our single lever engine control kit with a removable handle. Comes with a custom locking handle, internal mechanism and mounting hardware. You can even use a locking winch handle as the shift lever if necessary, as seen in the photo below.

This is the only removable handle option available for those who want to avoid tangling their sheets around the engine control handles.

Note: Transmission lockout is available for fast idle by pushing the handle in against the button inside of the hub. When it's time to engage the transmission, move the handle to idle again, then pull the handle away from the hub. Now move the handle forward or aft to engage the transmission.

Before ordering, confirm your engine installation is compatible with this unit:
• Suitable for most diesel engines that use two 33 series engine control cables.

Will not work with:
• A Universal 5411 engine where the engine kill is accomplished by pulling the throttle lever aft of idle, past a detent.
• An atomic 4 engine that requires a larger transmission control cable.
• Be particularly careful if the boat has been re-powered with a "Brand X" nonstandard engine that might have unusual requirements you are not aware of.
