Used on the Capri 22 when the factory optional racing package was ordered up until 2001 when an angled double exit block was used. Also suitable for use on the Catalina 22 where additional internal halyards are desired. Not recommended for use on early, small, oval Catalina 22 mast. Some Catalina 25 owners have used this block when additional internal halyards beyond the standard main and jib are desired. Aluminum sheaves are now used in place of the original plastic sheaves.
These are perfectly sized for use with 1/4" line. Catalina Yachts uses them for 5/16" line also. When used with 5/16" the line does touch the smooth frame on either side a bit. Not enough to cause a problem, but still it does touch. The advantage is, the blocks only require a narrow slot in the mast, much smaller than a Harken double exit block for example.
