Mount the pivoting cleat on the boom so the sheet falls easily to your forward hand while sitting forward of the tiller. With a short crew or while racing, use the boom mounted cleat and leave the aft fiddle block cleated off. Have a cockpit load of people? Draw the mainsheet aft ‘till the figure eight knot comes up against the pivoting cleat. Now use the aft cleat as before.

This basic kit includes the three boom mounted blocks, the boom bail, tap and machine screws for mounting. Use your existing transom mounted fiddle block.
