Protects you sails and sheets. from chafe from the shrouds. Boots protect the sheets when you tack from being snagged on the turnbuckles and cotter pins. Covers extend from the turnbuckle to the spreaders.


Always tape your cotter pins and ring pins at your turnbuckles with self amalgamating rigging tape. Exposed pins can snag your sheets. But worse, when they do, the sheet can yank out the ring or cotter pin!
