The original equipment cast aluminum mast step for your Catalina 27 and also fits the early Catalina 28 which was fitted with the same mast extrusion as the Catalina 27. Later Catalina 28's used a different mast extrusion entirely which does not fit this mast step. These mast steps are all cast with an angle on the base with the thicker portion being mounted forward when installed.

The raised portion that fits into the extrusion:
• Fore and aft: 6-1/16"
• Port to starboard: 3-1/16"

Dimensions of the base:
• Fore and aft: 6-13/16"
• Port to starboard: 3-3/4"

Mounting fasteners (not included):
• Four mounting holes in a trapezoidal pattern
• Drilled for 5/16" x 1-1/4" stainless steel lag screws (add in comments field when checking out to add quanity of four lag screws #FAS4207 to you order)

1) Will not fit Catalina 27s built in Canada with hull numbers in the following ranges: 1421-1450, 2465-2549, 3101-3150, 3950-3999, 4701-4725, 5042-5051, and 5140-5149. Having been built in Canada, they used a different mast. This mast step is not compatible with the shape of the Canadian mast. There may be other ranges as well that we have not discovered yet.
