2) With the advent of rigid boom vang, Catalina changed the design of the gooseneck. In order to reduce the load on the vang end fittings, the boom no longer rotates. If your existing gooseneck allows the boom to rotate, you will want to order the later version that has the stainless stud fixed in may we also suggest below.
