Top portion to a Catalina 30 split backstay for standard and tall rigs built after 1990 with a walk through transom. These boats had longer bridles to provide more room at the walk through transom. Because the backstay plate was moved up so much higher, the turnbuckle that once was part of the upper portion was moved down to bridles. These backstays are made with a marine eye at the top to connect to the mashead and a fork at the lower end to connect to the backstay plate.
If the upper portion of your backstay
has a 3/8" turnbuckle, see "May we also suggest" below for backstay
s with turnbuckles, used on earlier boats.
1) As there are several different variations, you must send in your old rigging so we can match your boat's requirements. See Standing Rigging Instructions below under "Technical Support" for instructions on how to mark and send in your rigging.
2) This is a custom made part. You provide the information we need to build this product for you. Once you order it we are going to build it just for you, just as you asked. We never want to see it again, and no one else wants it either. So be careful and order it correctly the first time because it can't be canceled, returned, or magically changed into something different!
