This is the latch used to secure the ice box lid on the Catalina 310 and Catalina 350. It is likely it was used on other boats as well.
Defining characteristics:
• With the button pressed down, the black bolt is engaged under the adjacent striker plate.
• With the button in the "up" it forms a knob that can be rotated.
• The body of the knob is fluted for a better grip.
• When the knob is rotated, the black bolt retracts allowing the lid to be opened.
• Overall diameter of flange: 38mm (1-1/2")
• Diameter of cylinder: 32mm (1-1/4")
• Overall height (with button retracted) 53mm (2")
