There is a headboard car for the top of the sail, batten cars to anchor the luff edge of your battens, reef car(s) for the tacks of your reef points, and various intermediate cars to "fill in the gaps" between the batten pockets. The track is installed without the need to un-step your mast, making installation a breeze.

Once installed your mains'l will be much easier to hoist, it will drop the instant you cast off the halyard, and the sail will stack more compactly than you are used to. A short stack will ease installation of your mains'l cover at the end of the day. Compatible with our CatPack mains'l storage system.

This system is sold by the foot of track. The price includes all of the appropriate hardware for your boat as listed above as well as the track itself.

If ordered in conjunction with a new Catalina Direct Offshore Full Batten Mains'l, installation of the hardware on the sail is free.

1) Before ordering, you must determine the appropriate track shape that matches your mast. Although you might expect we would know the correct shape, there have been a surprising number of times over the years when a customer was surprised to learn that his mast was not the boat's original mast. Too much money is involved here for any of us to make any assumptions. Please order the free measuring gauge kit found below under "May we also suggest" before ordering your batten car and sailtrack system.

2) This item does not conform to the shipping table in the Shopping Cart. Additional shipping must be calculated. When you place your order we always call with a shipping quote before billing your card. For a quote in advance, just call 800/959-7245.

3) A 50% nonrefundable deposit will be billed when your order for this special order item is accepted. The balance will be billed when the product ships.

4) This is a custom made part. You provide the information we need to build this product for you. Once you order it we are going to build it just for you, just as you asked. We never want to see it again, and no one else wants it either. So be careful and order it correctly the first time because it can't be canceled, returned, or magically changed into something different!
