Replacement Catalina 36 mast step collar for a keel stepped mast for in-mast furling. It was also used on the later Catalina 42s with in-mast furling and standard non-furling masts too. This collar provides a mounting point for the pins that support blocks at the base of the mast. It also is the point at which rubber blocks are installed around the mast to provide extra support where the mast passes through the deck.

Reference dimensions:
• Height, overall: ~2-1/4"
• Fore & Aft @ collar: 12-1/16" O.D. 11-3/4" I.D.
• Port To Stbd @ collar: 7-1/4" O.D. 7-1/16" I.D.
• Base Fore & Aft @ base: 15-3/4"
• Base Port To Stbd @ base: 10-1/16"
• Circumference, outside for mast boot: ~33" (Will require extra large hose clamp, F8040, when using boot kit A8273)

Fastener details (measurements are center to center):
• (6) holes cleared for: 3/8" Flat head fasteners (not included)
• Height off deck at fastener locations, to top of countersink: ~7/8"
• Forward fasteners, measured athwartships: ~6-1/2"
• Middle fasteners, measured athwartships: ~8-5/16"
• Aft fasteners, measured athwartships: ~4-1/2"
• Forward to middle fasteners, same side of collar: ~5-1/16"
• Middle to aft fasteners, same side of collar: ~7-1/16"
• Forward to aft fasteners, same side of collar: ~11-13/16"

Mast collar pin attachment details:
• Quantity of attachment points: 14
• Minor diameter: 7/16"
• Major diameter, for collar pin head: ~1-1/8"
• Recess for collar pin head: ~5/16"
• Height off deck at collar pin locations: ~1"

1) This collar only fits the Catalina 36 with in-mast furling built during 1999 and later. Before that date the furling mast was not a normal factory option. However there may have been a few boats built by special request with a different rig. If you have a boat built before 1999 with a furling mast, call our tech support at 916/843-1971 for assistance.

2) For a collar to fit a Catalina 34 or Catalina 36 equipped with a standard (not in-mast furling) mast, see the related product below listed under "May we also suggest".

3) The price includes only the mast collar casting. No hardware is included. See May we also suggest for the attachment point clevis pins item# A8391, which need to be installed before the collar is secured to the deck.
