Originally mounted as a factory option at the masthead until approximately 1981. They used a teak pad on top of a tube as the mounting platform.

We highly recommend you upgrade to the newer, brighter light that conforms to the new regulations. See below.
Although this replacement for the original light is legal due to a grandfather clause in the law, that doesn't help when a drunk in a power boat hits you in the middle of the night.
